After almost 20 years of negotiations, this summer the WTO working group accepted Kazakhstan’s accession package and Kazakhstan’s membership is expected to be ratified by the parliament in Astana by the end of October, allowing Kazakhstan to participate in the next WTO Ministerial Conference in December 2015. Please join the USKZBA for a briefing on Kazakhstan’s accession process, the details of the accession package and a discussion of how Kazakhstan’s membership in the WTO will coordinate with their engagement in the Eurasian Economic Union and what it means for American businesses operating in Kazakhstan and within the EAEU.
