Meeting Format
The format for the event will follow the schedule of previous Fall Tax Committee meetings. The event begins with a reception sponsored by the OECD on Wednesday evening, followed by a buffet dinner. The meetings begin on the morning of Thursday, October 9th and continue until midday Friday, October 10th. Casual attire is appropriate at all events. A detailed preliminary agenda is attached for your information, updated agendas for the meeting will be provided in the coming weeks.

A block of rooms is being held for Wednesday, October 8th and Thursday, October 9th. For those who wish to extend their stay before or after the meetings, a lesser number of rooms are available at the same rate for the Tuesday preceding the meeting and for the Friday evening following the meetings. The program begins early Thursday morning so we encourage Wednesday arrival. You don”t want to miss the great reception on Wednesday evening!

Please make your reservations as soon as possible to ensure a room, but no later than September 7, 2008, hotel reservations made after September 7th are subject to availability. If you reserve your room early, you have the best chance of getting a spectacular view from the Ridge. The rates are $154.00/night for single and double occupancy. All rooms are condominiums with separate bedrooms, living rooms and kitchens.
Registration Form
A registration form is attached. Please complete the form and return it with your check payable to the NFTC, c/o Vivian Myers, National Foreign Trade Council, Inc., 1625 K Street, Suite 200, Washington, DC 20006 or fax/email the completed form with your credit card information to 202 452 8160 or nftcinformation@nftc.org. The registration fee for the annual meeting is $850 ($950 with spouse or companion).
Other Activities
A number of recreational activities will be offered during the meeting, including the Annual NFTC Golf Open. Andy Breslow of ExxonMobil has arranged an excellent schedule for Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. A golf schedule and reservation form is attached. Please note that green fees are not included in the meeting registration fee and must be paid in advance with your registration fee.
We have also arranged for a wine-tasting tour of several of the local wineries for the afternoon of Thursday, October 9th. A wine tour registration form is also attached.
