Development Bank Conference To Explore Export Opportunities for U.S. Firms

Each year, these financial institutions extend a combined total of $40 to $50 billion in loans, grants, and investments to the public and private sectors for economic and social development abroad.  Key sectors include infrastructure development, transportation, environment, information technologies, governmental reform, healthcare and nutrition, energy, agriculture and services.  

The conference will include representatives from the World Bank; Inter-American Development Bank; Asian Development Bank, African Development Bank, and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development as well as presenters from the private sector.   

U.S. Commercial Service Liaison Officers from each bank will discuss major projects, consulting, and procurement opportunities generated from the Banks” grants and lending and guide U.S. project developers in accessing the Banks” private lending and co-financing operation.  The conference also features strategies that winning companies use to construct their bids and a session focused on approaching the private sector side of multilateral development banks to fund projects in emerging markets.
