The item will enlarge and you will learn about the importance of each person or item to the growth and influence of the NFTC over our first century, and projecting well into our second. You'll notice that the artwork is arranged in roughly chronological order. Starting from 12 o'clock and working counterclockwise, you can trace the NFTC from our birth at the first National Foreign Trade Convention in 1914, to our cutting edge work today on trade policy, digital trade, international tax policy, and global talent management. So go ahead! Pick and click, and enjoy your journey through the NFTC story… And if you visit the NFTC offices, please check out "The NFTC Story" in person on the wall in our conference room! As part of our Centennial Celebration, the NFTC commissioned local artist Lawrence Romorini of One of a Kind Studio Inc to create a unique 3D artwork to tell the story of our first hundred years. The finished piece was unveiled by USTR Michael Froman, NFTC President Bill Reinsch and Chairman Alan Wolff at our Centennial Kickoff in January of 2014. "The NFTC Story" now hangs proudly in the NFTC conference room at our headquarters office in Washington DC. |
