The Honorable Harry Reid
Majority Leader
U.S. Senate
Washington, D.C. 20510
The Honorable Mitch McConnell
Minority Leader
U.S. Senate
Washington, D.C. 20510

Dear Majority Leader Reid and Minority Leader McConnell:

We are writing to express our support for the Securing American Jobs Through Exports Act of 2011 (H.R. 2072), which reauthorizes the U.S. Export-Import Bank (Ex-Im Bank). H.R.2072 will ensure Ex-Im Bank's continued support of U.S. export sales as well as high value manufacturing and service jobs. We urge the Senate to act quickly and affirmatively on this essential piece of legislation.

This bi-partisan legislation provides Ex-Im Bank with a three-year reauthorization and lending authority which recognizes the important role Ex-Im plays for U.S. exporters at a time when exports are increasingly critical to the economy and job recovery. Additionally, the efforts to include financial reforms in H.R. 2072 will ensure that the Bank remains fiscally sound and continues to provide revenue to the U.S. Treasury.

With Ex-Im's charter expiring at the end of May, we urge the Senate to act quickly to pass reauthorization legislation that can be sent to the President for his signature. H.R. 2072 sends the right message: American exporters have the support of the United States government to level the playing field in global markets and create jobs at home.

Sincerely,

Aerospace Industry Association
