"US Officials Meet With Chamber, Trade Groups Over FCPA Guidance"

Excerpt: U.S. officials visited the offices of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Wednesday to discuss forthcoming guidance on enforcement of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act. the Chamber enlisted 30 trade groups in February to its cause, which, among other things, includes a call to create an affirmative defense for companies with robust compliance programs and to narrowly define who qualifies as a foreign official.
